Employees of Bear Masonry work recently on one of the chimneys of the Governor Duncan Mansion in Jacksonville. The Governor Duncan Association has been raising money via an annual gala and other fund raisers to pay for restoration of the mansion, including this project which cost $17,500. Sid Welles of the association oversees the restoration projects and said the next job will be painting the mansion, which is expected to cost $10,000 for each side of the building.
