With fall, many new things begin and probably one of the most important to high school age students is high school football. From being on the field to cheering on the sidelines, Friday nights bring around loud crowds and great games to watch. Student sections bring out their best attire and cheers to keep the excitement in the air, and the athletes play their hardest to win. On September 9, Jacksonville High School (JHS) came out strong but ended in a 27-46 loss to Decatur Eisenhower at Kraushaar-Rosenberger Field. Across town at Illinois College, Routt Catholic High School hosted their rival, Triopia High School, on September 15, which resulted in a 54-12 win for the Trojans. Come out and support your local high school football team under the lights on Friday nights!
