On January 21 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., the Miss to Mrs. 2018 Bridal Expo at Hamilton’s Ballroom will have wedding experts in every field a bride-to-be might need to plan her perfect wedding! With weddings all around from Prince Harry and Megan Markle to Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner or proposals seen on The Bachelor and Say Yes to the Dress, one witnesses that weddings and wedding planning are all about finding the right time, place, music, cakes, dress and more to fit all your personal needs.

This is our second year of sponsoring the local bridal expo. This year we are so excited to be teaming up with The Source to sponsor this magnificent event for local area brides and grooms,” says Sarah Shellhammer, new owner of Morgan County Media in Jacksonville. Morgan County Media includes WJIL-AM 1550, WJVO-FM 105.5, WJIL-FM 102.9 and will have the addition of its fourth station, WJIL-FM 97.1, soon. Shellhammer, who has been with the radio station for more than 20 years, closed on the sale on Thursday, December 28, 2017 and officially took over January 1, 2018.

Since wedding planning can be overwhelming, this event can take the stress off brides. “There will be more than 30 vendors with booths, and guests will have the opportunity to talk to wedding professionals all in one place,” says Shellhammer. “We have everything you need to plan the perfect day.” These creative professionals can help make all those decisions much easier. Vendors include photographers, videographers, venues, food, cakes, invitations, dresses, tuxes, DJs and more.

If you want to get a jump on the crowd, you can pre-register for this event until January 20 at wjvo.com or wjil.com. The first 50 pre-registered brides-to-be will be invited to into the VIP hour from 11 a.m.-noon.

Regular admission to the 2018 Bridal Expo is $5 from noon-1 p.m., which includes a complimentary swag bag with goodies for guests. Stick around for a chance to win awesome prizes as well as purchase a VIP swag bag for $20. The grand prize at the expo is complimentary airfare (with taxes being additional) and three complimentary nights in a hotel in Cancun or Riviera Maya.

Bring your friends, family, mother, mother-in-law, and/or the groom-to-be. Get inspiration and even make some decisions. Talk about dates to find out what works for both families and venues, think about wedding size and more. Let the 2018 Bridal Expo make your big day all you can imagine with the help of local experts!
