Updates on COVID-19 in Morgan County

The recent weekend showed a small jump in confirmed positive cases of COVID-19. The Morgan County Health Department received confirmation of three additional cases as of 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 5; by 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, they had received confirmation of another two. No additional cases were reported on Sunday, June 7.

This brings the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Morgan County to 47 at the end of the weekend (stated as accurate as of 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 7 per its specific daily update on www.morganhd.com/covid-19). Of those 47 cases, 33 have been released from restrictions and there has been one COVID-19-related death in Morgan County.

Additionally, there are links to direct those interested directly to a) Illinois Department of Public Health or b) CDC: Centers for Disease Control & Prevention.

Please call the Morgan County COVID-19 Testing Hotline if symptomatic. The hotline is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 217-479-1817. Appointments are required for testing.
