Western IL Fellowship of Christian Athletes

It is the goal of Western IL Fellowship of Christian Athletes to lead, encourage, and inspire coaches and athletes through the platform of sport as they pursue the fulfillment of God’s purposes for their lives. We accomplish this through the 4Cs of ministry; coaches, campus, camps, and community. We host the IL Sports Camp for high school athletes at Illinois College, send area athletes to leadership camp, provide speakers at local schools, offer 3D Coaching seminars, help coaches lead huddles at schools, host team Bible studies, perform community service projects, organize mission trips for college athletes, and organize community events.

The next few months have numerous opportunities for involvement. Former San Francisco Giants pitcher Dave Dravecky will speak at Hamilton’s at 6:30, on September 26th. Dave will also speak at the health fair at MacMurray College on September 27th. Former Atlanta Falcon linebacker Bryan McKenzie will speak to MacMurray and Illinois College football players after their scrimmage on August 23rd. Lincoln Avenue Baptist will provide a meal for the teams and Relay for Life will be involved with the event. There is a college retreat on September 29th, and Fields of Faith will be held at Illinois College on October 11th. We will partner with local churches to provide meals for local athletic teams. We will take a group of students to the Passion Conference in Atlanta, in January. The MacMurray Women’s Basketball team will take part in a mission trip to Puerto Rico, on December 18 -23.

We are excited about the events we have planned in 2017 and 2018. We are hoping to form booster clubs in each community in which we have a school huddle group. We would invite people from the local communities to contact us and become involved with these activities or help us to organize activities at their local schools. All of our activities are made by possible by donations from organizations like the United Way, local churches, individuals, and businesses. If you would like to support FCA financially or by assisting and volunteering with booster clubs, you can do this through email at tsweatman@fca.org, by phone at 217-370-2008, or by visiting our website at www.westernilfca.org.
