Quilting group welcomes community members

Cedarhurst of Jacksonville hosted a Quilts of Valor Ceremony on Friday, January 5. The honored guests were resident Edwin Love; Love’s stepson, Ron Gill; and his wife, Lindsey Gill, who is also a Cedarhurst employee.
The three veterans have over 61 years of combined service and Ron Gill is still serving. The Cedarhurst Quilters is a group of Cedarhurst residents and non-residents who have joined together to make Quilts of Valor for Cedarhurst residents who served in the United States military.
Cedarhurst Quilters are part of the Tri-county Quilt of Valor organization. Anyone interested in joining the Cedarhurst Quilters can call Angie Bergschneider, Director of Nursing at Cedarhurst, at 217-245-2996.
