Passavant Area Hospital Foundation: donors providing for excellent local healthcare
The Passavant Area Hospital Foundation serves to connect the hospital with donors and to secure funding for mission-critical priorities. Pam Martin is the Executive Director of the Foundation.

The Foundation is building a strong community tradition for financial support to meet local healthcare needs. Donor gifts help Passavant enhance and expand services, upgrade and renovate facilities, and develop new programs. Passavant depends on the generosity of individuals and businesses to purchase life-saving equipment and implement the latest technology. These necessary resources assist physicians, nurses and medical staff in their daily work to improve the health of the people Passavant serves. Through the ongoing generosity of many, Passavant Area Hospital continues to be progressive in its commitment to quality healthcare that is close to home.
Fiscal year 2015 was a record year for the Foundation with $5,106,267 in donations, highlighted by the $4.6 million from the estate of Howard and Vera Million, the house donation by Dr. and Mrs. Prasad Vasireddy, and a $100,000 gift from the Mia Ware Foundation. $1 million of the Million gift was given to the new Behavioral Health Unit. Proceeds from the sale of the Vasireddy home were applied to the purchase of a new open bore MRI unit for the Imaging Services Department. The Mia Ware Foundation gift was used for renovations in the mammography suites in Imaging Services.
