Sam was a stray dog wandering around the city of Kinkaid. He was caught by another rescue operation that asked the Protecting Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) of Jacksonville to take him and care for him. Sam was super skittish and was uncomfortable being around people when he originally arrived. With a warm shelter, feeling clean and fed, Sam is coming out of his shell. A week after his arrival, he started to smile, and hasn’t stopped since. At this time he only smiles when he is in the comfort of his kennel, but Lisa Jackson of PAWS is convinced the right family will keep Sam with a smile on his face for years to come.
