The Jacksonville Elks Lodge #682 hosted its annual Hoop Shoot basketball tournament at The JHS Bowl on January 17. Young athletes from the area competed across multiple age divisions, showcasing skill, focus and sportsmanship.

Winners by age group:

Girls 8-9

  • 1st place: Karsyn Smith – OSS
  • 2nd place: Audri Dorsey – Winchester
  • 3rd place: Hadley Turpin – Franklin

Boys 8-9

  • 1st place: Owen Meyer – Triopia

All first-place finishers advanced to the Elks District Hoop Shoot, which was scheduled for January 24, at The JHS Bowl starting at 11 a.m.

The Elks Lodge #682 congratulates all participants for their outstanding performances and encourages the community to support the advancing athletes at the district competition.
