Terry and Mary Karsgaard, of Jacksonville, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
Terry Karsgaard and Mary Chandler were married September 10, 1966, at St. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Chebanse, Illinois.
Mr. Terry Karsgaard is the son of the late Melvin and Florence Karsgaard formerly of Chebanse, Illinois. Mrs. Mary Karsgaard is the daughter of the late Thomas and Bertie Chandler formerly of Ashkum, Illinois.
The Karsgaard are parents of two sons, the late Terry “Teke” Karsgaard (wife Alyson) of Jacksonville, Illinois, and Scott “Skeet” Karsgaard of Orlando, Florida. They have one grandson, Ty, who works as an RN at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
Terry Karsgaard retired from National Starch and Chemical Co. in Meredosia, Illinois, in 2001. He enjoys substitute teaching and travel. Mary Karsgaard has now owned and operated Mary Karsgaard’s Myotherapy and Massage Clinic in Jacksonville for 45 years. She enjoys traveling, planning family gatherings and pickleball.
The Karsgaards have been active members of First Christian Church in South Jacksonville since moving to Jacksonville in 1981. Mary and Terry know Jesus as their Lord and Savior and give God all the glory for their 60 years of marriage.
To make it possible for the 27 family members to gather and rejoice together, the Karsgaards celebrated their anniversary in July in Dublin, Ohio.
