A gigantic spider is up in the yard of a Jacksonville home across from the Illinois College baseball field. PVC pipe and fittings were used to create a base for the cephalothorax and abdomen, as well as the eight 10-foot-long legs of the arachnid, explains creator Kyla Hurt. She and her son, Finnigan, welcome kids to stop by and take a photo in front of the dizzying display of eyes — but don’t get ensnared it its web! Happy Halloween!
