Living Alternatives Pregnancy Resource Center – Jacksonville held its 2026 Walk on Saturday, May 16 at Nichols Park. The fundraiser is the center’s spring fundraising event and this year’s theme was “Dare to believe.”
The center gave out prizes for the top three fundraising walkers and goody bags for all walkers. Door prizes and refreshments were also available.
Katie Corliss, assistant director at Living Alternative Pregnancy Resource Center, shares about the results of the 2026 Walk:
“Our 2026 Walk is in the books, and what a wonderful morning it was! While rain and thunder kept us from walking outside, we enjoyed a meaningful time of fellowship, celebration, and fun together under the shelter of the pavilion at Nichols Park.
We were blessed to have 22 walkers participate and have raised $20,086 so far! With a goal of $23,000 and additional donations still coming in, we’re hopeful that we’ll reach it.
Thank you to everyone who played a part — whether you registered, sponsored, attended, helped set up or tear down, brought food, participated in activities, or simply showed your support. Your generosity and encouragement help make our mission possible, and we are so grateful for each of you.”
The center shared that profits from the Walk support women who need a safe place to turn when facing an unplanned pregnancy, raising little ones, or seeking a compassionate space to talk about past decisions and find healing.
The center relies on ongoing partnerships to continue meeting real needs in our communities.
