The Public Consignment Auction at Prairie Land Heritage Museum will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 9.
For a week prior to the auction, volunteers and members of PLHM help sellers put their item(s) up for the auction, which will be handled by Curless Auctions for a third year.
Norman Werts, of PLHM, says, “As everything comes in, we lay it out and get it all categorized.” The seller pays commission on items to list according to various ranges of value.
The PLHM Public Consignment Auction itself has been taking place for close to 20 years.
The final drop-off day for consignment is Friday, March 8.
Most items in the PLHM Public Consignment Auction are farm-oriented, but items are not specific to that. Some of those other items already consigned include Coca-Cola signage, antique furniture, cars, boats, posts and firewood.
