Central Christian Church in Jacksonville will be leading a Sunday morning outreach from 9-10:30 on the morning of October 12. This “Worship through Service” outreach is a way for the church to glorify Christ by caring for people and connecting with its community. Worship through Service will involve several aspects.
- Community laundry at Downtown Laundry: Includes free use of washer and dryer from 9-10:30 a.m. (as supplies last), plus activities for kids
- Chalk the Block: Spreading positive messages around the neighborhood
- Prayer Walk: Praying for our community and neighbors
- Nursing Home Service: Bible study and bingo!
- Coat Giveaway: Coats/jackets available for adults
- Food Packaging: Packing meals to help stock the church’s outside food pantry
- Meal Prep for New Directions
Those interested in the laundromat can meet at Downtown Laundry, located at 340 W. College Ave. in Jacksonville. For other services, meet at the church.
Worship through Service will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. A regular worship service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Anyone is welcome to any or all parts of the morning.
