Jacksonville Kiwanis Club holds blood drive

The Jacksonville Kiwanis Club held a community blood drive on Friday, Aug. 21. The club recently posted on their Facebook page about it, “Saving lives looks good on us.
… Another Kiwanis blood drive is in the books, and our crew did what they do best—showed up, pitched in, laughed a lot, and served our community. Whether we were rolling up our sleeves to donate, helping behind the scenes, greeting donors, or simply keeping everyone entertained, it was a pretty great day to be a Kiwanian.”
The post continued, “Because around here, service doesn’t always have to be serious. Sometimes it looks like a room full of friends, a few questionable jokes, lots of laughs … and people coming together to do something that truly matters.”
The Jacksonville Kiwanis Club also gave away Kiwanis-themed t-shirts and donuts while supplies lasted.
