Envelopes for time capsule letters are available
The City of Jacksonville celebrated its 200th anniversary on Saturday, October 4 in spectacular fashion. Now, you have a chance to have that celebration and the history of the city live on for years to come.
You can now preorder a copy of Jacksonville’s Bicentennial keepsake book for $35 per copy. There will be over 200 pages highlighting each year of the city’s vibrant history with photos and stories of events, notable people and more, including the most recent Bicentennial Celebration.
To order, you can scan the QR code in the image or visit givebutter.com/jacksonvillebicentennialbook or pick up and complete a form in the Jacksonville Area Chamber of Commerce office, located 155 West Morton Ave. inside Community Park. You will be notified by email or text message when your copies are ready to be picked up. Don’t miss your exclusive chance to own this timeless keepsake for your family.
While you’re at the Chamber of Commerce, you can also be a part of history. The next time capsule is currently in preparation to be buried in early 2026. If you would like to place an envelope in the new time capsule, purchase your special envelopes at the Jacksonville Area Chamber of Commerce. The cost is $20 each. Envelopes must be returned to the Chamber office by December 30.
