Jacksonville’s National Night Out 2026 was held in Community Park on Tuesday, Aug. 4. The event was a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
According to nato.org, “The annual community-building campaign focuses on building positive relationships between local residents, law enforcement, and first responders.” The event takes place annually on the first Tuesday in August.
The overall goal of National Night Out events is to make communities safer, more caring places to live. It is a “national community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships,” the website also states.
Jacksonville’s recent National Night Out offered a chance for attendees and families to meet with the police and other community partnerships such as first responders and organizations for an evening of community connection.
